Nespresso brings its new Creatista and Lattissima to South Africa

Nespresso has launched two new Vertuo capsule machines, bringing two new milk-focused options to the local market.

Called the Vertuo Lattissima (pictured above) and the Vertuo Creatista (below), the two new machines fall under the Vertuo line, which uses the company’s centrifuge technology, rather than the traditional bar-pressure system.

Nespresso Vertuo Creatista

The Creatista is the top-end model in the Vertuo personal home range, giving you the closest experience to being an actual barista, without all the fuss and technicalities.

The Creatista leverages the barcode (which it scans) and centrifuge technology from the original Vertuo, but features a milk-control and steam wand, giving users a new level of control over the temperature and textures of their milk.

The Creatista can prepare seven different coffee sizes, depending on the capsule selection. These include Ristretto (25 ml), Espresso (40 ml), Double Espresso (80 ml), Gran Lungo (150 ml), Mug (230 ml), XL Coffee (355 ml) and Carafe (535 ml).

The Nespresso Vertuo Creatista is priced at R13 999.

Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima

The Vertuo Lattissima sits between the original Vertuo and the Creatista, giving you a built-in milk frother but without too many bells and whistles. Unlike the dedicated milk wand on the Creatista, you get a normal milk spout that will heat and deliver your foam or warm milk.

Furthermore, there are no temperature and texture settings as on the Creatista. So, the Lattissima can change the milk or froth a little bit, but not to the extent that the Creatista can.

The Lattissima’s milk carafe is detachable, so you can simply place it inside your fridge to keep your milk cool and fresh, ready for your next coffee.

The Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima is priced at R8 999.
