OPPO is set to shake up the smartphone market with the global launch of its latest flagship devices, the Find X8 Series and ColorOS 15.

This launch event, held in Bali, Indonesia, will showcase the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, along with OPPO’s new operating system, bringing cutting-edge technology and refined design to the forefront.

Redefining flagship design and performance

The Find X8 Series introduces a lightweight, sleek form factor that challenges the norm for flagship camera phones, which often suffer from bulk due to advanced features.

According to Pete Lau, OPPO’s Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer, the Find X8 delivers high performance and extended battery life without the weight. Lau describes it as a “thin and light powerhouse” with remarkable zoom capabilities and a refined aesthetic.

Dual-periscope telephoto camera

The Find X8 combines a compact design with a 6,59-inch display, ultra-thin borders, and a fingerprint-resistant finish in colours like Star Grey, Space Black, and Shell Pink.

The Find X8 Pro features an immersive 6,78-inch display, quad-curved glass, and OPPO’s first dual-periscope telephoto camera, available in Space Black and Pearl White with a unique pearlescent finish.

Camera tech from Hasselblad

Both models in the Find X8 Series push the boundaries of smartphone photography. With the Hasselblad Master Camera System and AI Telescope Zoom technology, the Find X8 Series enables high-quality images at extended zoom ranges, even at 10x and beyond.

Another highlight, Lightning Snap, captures up to seven photos per second, allowing users to freeze moments in stunning clarity.

Powerful performance and lasting battery

The Find X8 Series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, which optimises smooth, cool performance across a range of apps. Battery life is impressive, with a 5 630 mAh silicon-carbon battery in the Find X8 and an even larger 5 910 mAh in the Find X8 Pro, offering extended use for on-the-go convenience.

ColorOS 15: elevating the UX

ColorOS 15 complements the advanced hardware of the Find X8 Series, enhancing functionality with a seamless interface, intuitive design, and AI-driven tools that simplify daily tasks. Lau describes the software as “world-class,” promising an enriched experience that integrates powerful tech with ease of use.

Global launch and availability

The OPPO Find X8 Series, featuring ColorOS 15, will be available globally starting in 2025. This launch positions the Find X8 as a flagship option for both everyday users and tech enthusiasts alike. For more details, visit OPPO’s official event page.
