Mazda Southern Africa has announced that the CX-60 Takumi variant will soon be added to the local line-up.

The Mazda CX-60 will be the range flagship with its 3.3-litre in-line 6-cylinder turbodiesel mild hybrid. The engine produces a maximum of 158 kW and 550 Nm. It is worth noting that the electric motor (and battery) can assist the diesel engine to drive the vehicle, but that it cannot propel the vehicle on its own as the Toyota HSD system and plug-in hybrids do.

The Mazda CX-60 Takumi features a unique front bumper design, a bar type piano black grille, a bright metal finish to the front signature wings, side signatures and glazing surrounds, and 20-inch, black metallic, diamond-cut machined alloy wheels.

According to Craig Roberts, MD of Mazda Southern Africa, “We are thrilled to be adding the CX-60 Takumi to our local range.”

The Mazda CX-60 Takumi is expected to arrive in South Africa in February 2024. Pricing and full specification will be confirmed closer to the time.
