For those ready to take the leap, but still requiring a little nudge, Volvo Car South Africa has sweetened the deal for electric-vehicle (EV) ownership.

Volvo is offering an enticing incentive for those considering the switch to electric vehicles. In a limited-time promotion, customers who purchase any fully-electric Volvo model during the last quarter of 2024 will receive three perks:

  • One year of free public charging
  • Two years of comprehensive vehicle insurance
  • Three years of complimentary in-car data

This offer aims to make EV ownership more appealing by reducing upfront costs and providing additional conveniences. It’s a good opportunity for potential buyers to step into the world of sustainable driving with added peace of mind.

“Volvo is already at the forefront of South Africa’s new-energy vehicle space and is responsible for much of the recent growth in the fully electric segment. This new offer is the latest illustration of our commitment to our customers which will provide the most value to their EV ownership experience,” says Markus Cromwell, Commercial Director at Volvo Car South Africa.

Volvo Car South Africa offers a compelling range of electric vehicles (EVs), including the EX30, the XC40 Recharge, and the C40 Recharge. The EX30 (shown above), one of the most affordable battery-powered vehicles on the market, has quickly gained popularity among local buyers. Pricing for the Volvo EX30 range starts at R791 900.

With various configurations available – including different powertrain options, battery types, and trim levels – the EX30 strengthens Volvo’s growing EV portfolio in South Africa.

The XC40 Recharge (pictured above) is available in both Single Motor Plus and Twin Motor Ultimate variants, while the C40 Recharge (shown below) comes standard in the Twin Motor Ultimate configuration.

Looking ahead, Volvo Car SA is set to expand its electric lineup with the flagship EX90, expected to arrive in early 2025. This fully electric SUV will take its place at the top of Volvo’s electrified offerings, which already include mild hybrids, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and EVs.
