The Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike might look like a normal gaming mouse, but it houses some pretty interesting tech all PC gamers should take note of.
The Pro X2 Superstrike gaming mouse is outfitted with HITS technology – short for haptic inductive trigger system. Logitech’s HITS technology replaces the standard microswitches that are found in other gaming mice. This means that your mouse click latency can be reduced by up to 30ms, making your aiming and targeting faster than your opponents’. With tuneable actuation and reset points, you can calibrate how long it takes for the click to register.

The mouse click buttons can be adjusted and tuned to your specifications, meaning you can click faster or slower depending on your needs. This applies to both the left and right mouse buttons. Using Logitech’s G Hub application, you can fine-tune your settings and save different custom profiles, or import pro gamers’ settings and adjust them to your preferences.
These settings consist of ten actuation points and five rapid-trigger reset points. For the haptic feedback, the custom hardware of the mouse syncs with the built-in sensors to provide an immediate physical response while playing. You can adjust this intensity from six different levels, from a low sensation to a high sensation.
Physically, the mouse is compact and lightweight, meaning quick movements for micro-adjustments are almost non-existent. It also consists of two buttons on the side which can be linked to various hotkeys depending on your game (e.g., binding your crouch and reload hotkeys in first-person shooter games). The design of the mouse is inspired by the symmetrical designs of the Pro Wireless and Pro X Superlight and Pro X Superlight 2, previous gaming mice developed by Logitech.
The Superstrike can be played wirelessly with up to 90 hours’ worth of battery life, and makes use of a USB-C type cable for charging. It also comes with optional grip tape that you can stick around the mouse and on the buttons to prevent your hand and fingers from slipping off while playing.
Its elegant black-and-white aesthetic is pleasing to the eye, it feels secure and comfortable in the hand, and it glides effortlessly across the desktop, making gameplay noticeably smoother and faster. In matches where latency is the enemy, it provides a clear competitive edge.
The Pro X2 Superstrike gaming mouse is now available at most computer retailers for approximately R3 500. More information regarding the mouse can be found on Logitech G’s website.
